Pawn loans are a quick and easy way to borrow money without the need for credit checks. Our appraiser will make you an offer after he has assessed your item. If you accept the offer, you will pawn your items with us (known as pledges) for instant cash.

Our experienced and technically competent master appraisers all have between 10 and 50 years of experience in dealing with different kinds of jewellery and valuables. They will first authenticate your valuables, then examine their condition and assess the items based on their expertise, coupled with the use of our advanced appraisal instruments, before they finally determine the pawn value. The pawn amount will then be offered to you.

Yes, you can pay interest and renew your pledges at any ValueMax store located island-wide.

Loan amounts vary according to the value of the item. There is no minimum dollar amount allowed on a pawn transaction.

In accordance with the Pawnbrokers Act, the pawner must be of a minimum age of 18 years.

You do not have to pay the full amount at once; you can pay in instalments, and each instalment extends the holding period for another six months. If you fail to renew your pledge or redeem your item after six months, your item will then be forfeited.

Please visit the ValueMax branch where you pawned your item to request a replacement pawn ticket. A processing fee of $10 (inclusive of 9% GST) is chargeable for each replacement ticket.

Pawned items are kept in strong rooms or reinforced safes in our pawnshops, which are all equipped with 24-hour surveillance cameras and alarm systems.

The pawner or any pawn ticket holder may redeem the pledge by presenting the pawn ticket and proof of identity. We will then return the pledged articles after collecting the principal pawn amount and the interest accrued.

If you are unable to redeem your items(s) personally, you can authorise someone do so on your behalf. The person must bring along your pawn ticket/s, along with his/her identity card (if s/he is a Singapore citizen or permanent resident), or work permit (if s/he is a foreign worker in Singapore).

With effect from 1 January 2023, pawnbroker who provide “cashless payment modes”, when customers pawn or renew pawn tickets, regardless of the way of payment (including cash payment), the pawnbroker can charge a fee of S$2 for each newly issued pawn ticket.

The S$2 fee will not be charged if the pawn ticket is issued based on the following conditions:

  • Changing the address, telephone number or email address of the pawner
  • Changing the name or address of the pawnbroker
  • Correcting any errors on the ticket
